Data Analytics Manager

ROLE PURPOSE
Responsible for managing the functional area of Data Management and Architecture.
Develops new solutions for managing organization data including storage, archival, and
backups. Sets new architecture standards and creates reference frameworks for the
organization. Accountable for running critical services and maintaining service level
agreements. Champions the Enterprise Architecture discipline and institutes its adoption
within the organization by analyzing the total landscape and creating new models to
reduce complexity and streamline functions
Additionally, the incumbent will oversee the development of the Business Warehouse as
well as Business Intelligence applications development and data analytics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Design, selection and implementation of a data analytics platform incorporating all data management
applications and tools to support the realization of a single source of data truth and the efficient lifecycle
management of NEOM data
The incumbent will oversee the development of the Business Warehouse as well as Business Intelligence
applications development and data analytics and reporting being produced.
Data discovery, to identify, document and structure all sources of data being generated and used for the
management of the NEOM Community. This will include but will not be limited to, datasets on
accommodation utilization, energy consumption, food consumption, etc.
Business requirements gathering and conversion into functional specifications in alignment with the overall
data strategy and roadmap, to support the procurement of data management tools
Developing management/KPI reporting (PowerBI/Tableau)
Lead projects to analyze and visualize data for value creation and decision making, aided by artificial
intelligence and machine learning.
Development of the following data management components in support of the data governance program,
data model/architecture,
data catalogues,
data lineage,
data definitions,
metadata,
master/reference data

Initiates influential relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers and
partners at senior management level
Has a broad business understanding and deep understanding of own capabilities
Performs highly complex work activities covering technical and quality aspects
Creatively applies a wide range of technical and/or management principles
Absorbs complex information and communicates effectively at all levels to both
technical and non-technical audiences
Understands the implications of new technologies
Understands and communicates industry developments, and the role and impact of
technology in the organization
Tools Knowledge
Big Data Tools stack: HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, PIG, HIVE, Flume, Sqoop, ZooKeeper,
Oozie, etc.
Real-time processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Storm, etc.
Database architectures, data models and data schemas
SQL (MySQL, etc.) and NoSQL (HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, Etc.)
Programing (Python, R, etc.)
ETL/DataWarehousing solutions (Talend, Informatica, DataBricks, etc.)
Tableau, Power BI
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any discipline with
analytical background such as Economics or Statistics or related disciplines.
Masters degree is a plus
8+ years of industry experience with proven track record in development and
management of projects related to Data management.
Professional IT certifications in areas such as TOGAF, PMP, PRINCE 2, Information
Security
Knowledge in the following areas:
Enterprise architecture
Data management, storage, backup, archiving
Data modeling and databases
Information security
Cloud solutions
