Remote Web Back-end Engineer (Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and MySQL)

Turing.com is looking for a Web Back-end Engineer on behalf of a US-based procurement intelligence company that specializes in customizable market research. The engineer will be in charge of backend-specific services and sharing efficient development practices. The company’s AI technology gives firms access to essential market data and analysis, allowing them to make informed sourcing decisions. The company has managed to raise funding worth over $9.5 mn during their Series A round. This job presents a full-time opportunity requiring an overlap with the IST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain new back-end services providing high-performance, high-availability APIs

• Collaborate and understand the requirements from front-end developers, mobile client teams, and external partners

• Develop software with modern-day features for a better user experience

• Work closely with team members to analyze business requirements and provide timely feedbacks

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

• At least 3+ years of relevant back-end engineering experience

• Prolific experience working with Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and MySQL

• Fluency in written and verbal English communication

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure without being micromanaged
