We are seeking experienced On-Site AV Technologists to provide operational technical and event support for campus-wide Audio Visual systems and infrastructure.
The selected team will be responsible for maintaining troubleshooting operating upgrading and supporting AV systems across classrooms conference rooms event spaces digital signage LED media walls and outdoor display systems.
The role requires hands-on support for live events preventive maintenance AV system upgrades inventory management and rapid-response troubleshooting in a high-availability academic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Event & Operational Support
Provide AV support for indoor and outdoor events including setup and dismantling activities.
Operate microphones audio mixers speakers projectors LED walls and AV presentation systems.
Support approximately 70 daytime evening and weekend events per quarter.
Coordinate load-in and load-out activities for event operations.
AV Systems Support & Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
Classrooms
Conference rooms
Digital signage systems
Christie LED media walls
Daktronics outdoor media mesh
Respond rapidly to classroom “Assistance Requests” triggered through touch panel systems.
Support over 70 AV-enabled spaces.
AV Infrastructure & Hardware Refresh
Install relocate add and remove AV equipment as required.
Upgrade legacy AV systems to maintain reliability and manufacturer support compliance.
Perform hardware refresh activities and support firmware/software update initiatives.
Carry out all associated labor and technical implementation activities.
Preventive Maintenance
Conduct and document preventive maintenance activities prior to Fall and Spring semesters.
Ensure AV systems remain fully operational and compliant with operational standards.
Inventory & Warehouse Management
Manage AV spare parts inventory consumables tools and warehouse assets.
Maintain records for issued returned depreciated and disposed equipment.
Support annual AV spares refresh planning and documentation.
Handle inventory covering approximately 5000 AV-related items from 50 manufacturers.
Equipment & Technology Environment
Experience with the following manufacturers and technologies is highly preferred:
AMX Apple Christie Cisco ClearOne Daktronics Dell Draper Epson Extron LG Logitech Magewell Meyer Sound Samsung Shure SMART SpinetiX Tannoy Vaddio WolfVision Yamaha and other enterprise AV technologies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Audio Visual Technology Electronics IT Multimedia or related field.
Proven experience supporting enterprise AV environments educational institutions conference facilities or broadcast/event environments.
Strong troubleshooting skills across audio video control systems networking and AV infrastructure.
Experience supporting live events and mission-critical AV operations.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
