Demi Chef - Pastry
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the pastry section and produce a range of high-quality desserts pastries and baked goods in accordance with established standards demonstrating technical proficiency and precision
- Manage daily production schedules inventory and workflow whilst maintaining rigorous food safety and hygiene standards across all pastry operations
- Monitor and control food costs minimising wastage and optimising resource utilisation
- Contribute to menu development in collaboration with senior kitchen staff and provide guidance to junior pastry team members
- Ensure all work meets quality specifications and operational deadlines
Qualifications :
- Formal culinary qualification in Patisserie or Commercial Cookery
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar professional kitchen role
- Strong knowledge of HACCP-compliant kitchens and food safety standards
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality pastries and baked goods with consistency and attention to detail whilst managing costs and minimising wastage
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative approach with the ability to train and support junior team members
