The R&D Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing innovative organic fertilizer and pesticide formulations ensuring compliance with industry and organic certification standards. This role involves hands-on laboratory work formulation design quality analysis and cross-functional collaboration to support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and optimize solid and liquid organic formulations for fertilizers and pesticides.
Conduct laboratory experiments record observations and analyze test results to evaluate product performance.
Assess and document physical and chemical properties of raw materials and finished products.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to scale up laboratory formulations into commercial production.
Ensure compliance with organic certification standards such as OMRI or equivalent regulatory frameworks.
Monitor raw material quality sourcing and compatibility with formulation requirements.
Support ongoing research projects focused on product innovation cost efficiency and environmental sustainability.
Maintain detailed documentation of research findings product formulations and experimental outcomes.
Stay updated with industry trends emerging materials and new technologies in organic agriculture.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry or related field.
Minimum 3 years of practical experience in the development of organic fertilizers or pesticides.
Strong understanding of organic manufacturing requirements and certification standards (e.g. OMRI ECOCERT).
Experience in formulation development quality control and raw material analysis.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research-driven environment.
