As our practice within the Government & Public Sector (GPS) continues to expand we are currently looking to strengthen our GPS team with a highly motivated senior consultant focusing on building teams and leveraging market opportunities. Our ambition of our advisory services within GPS is to make a difference by innovating developing and improving the core services of the public sector.
As a member of the GPS team you will join a talented group eager to expand. EY is currently active in several areas such as economy local and central authorities health education and social welfare. Engagements range in size and scope and often include advice on critical issues and large transformations.
Your key responsibilities :
As one of our transformation professionals you will help organizations in GPS to continuously achieve and sustain performance in a rapidly changing environment. Your main responsibility will be to further develop and drive the GPS practice and team based by managing existing and identifying new clients and engagements. You can expect to work with senior decision makers to analyze evaluate and enhance clients organizations. Your main responsibilities include:
- Contribute to and enhance future growth within GPS consulting services by working with existing and prospective clients to identify opportunities scope engagements and build relationships
- Contribute to development of new solutions offerings and improve the current offerings
- Lead business pursuits
- Create value to EY clients by assuring high quality deliverables
- Provide both subject matter expertise and project management experience to our engagement teams
- Create an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment
- Play an active role in supervising consultants by providing mentorship and coaching to grow their technical and consulting skills
Skills and attributes for success :
- Deep knowledge and comprehensive experience of working within Government & Public Sector including government agencies municipalities public institutions
- Willingness and motivationto take a leading role in expanding the GPS practice
- Proven track record of delivering impact on major sector transformation initiatives
- Ability to identify cultivate and manage business development opportunities and develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks
- Possess strong business acumen and a commercial mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain relationships externally and internally
To qualify for the role you must have :
- Relevant Higher Education with strong academic results with an emphasis in Engineering Business Economics Marketing or equivalent Master or MBA in Public Administration is a plus
- 4 to 6 years years of experience in the public sector (ministries agencies etc.) is a requirement preferably including 1-2 years in leadership role
- Demonstrated characteristics of a forward thinker and self-motivator who thrives on new challenges and adapts to learning new concepts
- Supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong analytical problem-solving and presentation skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
Ideally youll also have :
- Proven success in leading and developing projects and a team of professionals
- An ambitious goal oriented and entrepreneurial mindset and you enjoy team work
- A drive for a varied occupation which requires involvement taking responsibility and initiative
- The ability to deliver high stakes deliverables under demanding timelines. You should have the ability to be flexible with changes and keep the client focused and stay within the scope of the engagement.
