Job Title: Construction Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Manager to lead and oversee construction activities in petrochemical plant environments. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in managing multi-disciplinary site operations especially in live plant settings and MOC (Management of Change) works. A minimum of 10 years of Gulf experience in the construction contractor domain within the petrochemical industry is essential. The candidate must possess leadership qualities to coordinate and manage a large team across various disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan direct and manage construction operations at petrochemical project sites including live plant environments.
Supervise and coordinate all site activities including civil mechanical electrical and instrumentation disciplines.
Ensure compliance with safety standards project specifications and quality control procedures.
Review and interpret construction drawings specifications and schedules to ensure effective execution.
Lead site teams including engineers supervisors subcontractors and laborers to deliver work within schedule and budget.
Manage MOC (Management of Change) processes and ensure minimal disruption to ongoing plant operations.
Communicate with clients consultants and internal teams to provide progress updates and resolve issues.
Monitor construction progress and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Oversee material management and ensure timely availability of resources and equipment.
Enforce discipline and ensure a high level of productivity and accountability among team members.
Qualifications:
B.E. in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Minimum 10 15 years in the Gulf region with specific experience in the petrochemical industry on the contractor s side
Must have worked on construction activities within live plants and MOC-related projects
Key Skills Required:
Strong leadership and team management abilities
In-depth understanding of construction practices in petrochemical industries
Excellent knowledge of safety regulations quality assurance and MOC protocols
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and project schedules
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
