ManagerJob Description & Summary
The Integration Developer Manager leads the integration team responsible for designing building and delivering robust integration solutions using Java Spring frameworks. This role ensures all integration points between internal banking platforms and external vendors are secure scalable and compliant with Canadian banking regulations.Team Leadership
Manage and mentor a team of Java/Spring integration developers and senior associates.
Oversee project planning estimation and delivery of integration features.
Foster a culture of code quality best practices and continuous improvement.
Integration Architecture & Design
Define and review integration patterns (REST SOAP batch event-driven) using Java/Spring Boot.
Lead the design of microservices and API gateways for integration with both internal and external systems.
Technical Oversight
Guide the team in implementing Spring-based integration solutions (Spring Boot Spring Integration Spring Cloud).
Oversee the use of Java frameworks for API development security (OAuth2/JWT) and error handling.
Ensure robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions) for Java/Spring deployments.
Oversee code reviews integration testing (JUnit Mockito Postman) and deployment.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for all Java/Spring integration flows.
Required Skills & Experience
8 years in Java development with at least 3 years in integration-focused roles.
Deep expertise in Java 11/17 Spring Boot Spring Integration Spring Cloud REST/SOAP APIs.
Familiarity with CI/CD containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and monitoring tools.
Strong leadership communication and stakeholder management skills.
