The Director of Finance & Business Support provides strategic leadership functional guidance and valuable insights for optimal business decision; Interacting with hotels legal counsel insurance companies tax consultants auditors commercial and government banks to effectively control the assets of the business. The Director of Finance & Business Support will be a highly motivated team player with strong accounting communication business presentation and analytical skills.

Oversee the full spectrum of financial operations including budgeting forecasting reporting auditing and compliance.
Develop and implement robust financial controls and policies to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Collaborate with the General Manager executive committee and department heads to drive profitability and support strategic decision-making.
Prepare and analyze monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with company standards and local regulations.
Ensure compliance with all local tax laws labor laws and financial regulations.
Manage cash flow working capital and capital expenditure plans to optimize the hotel financial performance.
Lead the finance team by setting clear goals providing training and development and promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
Liaise with external auditors banks and government authorities as required.
Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Provide insight and recommendations to improve revenue reduce costs and maximize return on investment.
Oversee daily financial operations including accounting purchasing payroll and audit functions.
Monitor key performance indicators and prepare timely accurate financial reports and analyses for senior management and ownership.
Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards tax regulations and internal policies.
Manage cash flow cost control and inventory to optimize profitability and operational performance.
Supervise and develop the finance team to ensure high levels of accuracy professionalism and service.
Collaborate with department heads to support financial decision-making and business strategies.
Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors banks and other financial stakeholders.
Contribute to strategic planning and provide recommendations based on financial insights and data.

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field (Masters or MBA preferred).
CPA ACCA CMA or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in the hospitality industry with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven experience in operations is a strong advantage.
Proficiency in financial management systems (e.g. Sun Systems Opera or similar).
Exceptional analytical organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven leadership ability with a hands-on proactive approach.
Proficient in financial software (e.g. Sun Systems Opera Micros Excel etc.).
