Job Title: Electrical Technician

Experience: Minimum 5 years in oil & gas or petrochemical industry
Job Summary:
The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the oil & gas or petrochemical sectors. This role involves ensuring operational efficiency adherence to safety standards and maintaining system reliability during plant operations shutdowns and turnarounds.
Main Responsibilities:
Install inspect and maintain electrical panels motor control centers (MCCs) and control systems.
Conduct cable glanding termination and power distribution in compliance with technical specifications.
Perform testing and commissioning of LV/MV switchgear transformers and associated equipment.
Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
Read and interpret technical drawings P&IDs loop diagrams and schematics.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with safety and operational standards.
Collaborate with engineering teams and other technical staff to optimize system performance and resolve issues.
Support plant shutdowns turnarounds and live plant maintenance as required.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed inspections and system configurations.
Essential Qualifications:
Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
Experience working on SABIC / Aramco projects (preferred).
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation including drawings and loop diagrams.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in electrical installation and maintenance of LV/MV systems.
Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices for hazardous environments.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to work in challenging environments including shutdowns and live plants.
