About this job:

Q-Sourcing Tanzania Limited is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Tanzania Uganda Kenya Rwanda and South Sudan.

On behalf of our Tanzania based client we are looking for a competent and experienced Trade Development Representative.

Reporting to: Customer Account Manager

Location: Kigoma

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The incumbent is required to perform sales budget achievement customer relationship market intelligence and support services to customers and Tanga Cement team in large by regular and planned market visitations and thereby ensuring availability visibility margins and volume of Simba Cement in the market.
  • Achieve sales target volumes prices market share
  • Convince and facilitate orders from customers to achieve and excel the targeted sales volumes
  • Development of accurate estimates of current customers stock position reorder levels and future stock plans
  • Ensure that objectives in terms availability visibility volume margin quality and consumer prices are achieved
  • Ensure that Tanga Cement holds higher percentage of market share in comparison to competitors
  • Scheduled calls to existing customers as well as expanding customer base
  • Ensure that the Look of Success elements are achieved in each segment of the market as set by plant
  • Accomplish customers visitation as per planned routes and develop customer database with geographical locations indicated and classified in market segmentation
  • Identifying and creation of new outlets for expansion of customer base opportunities to grow other channels such as construction firms projects etc
  • Monitor Simba products performance in the outlets
  • Ensure Distributors/stockiest have appropriate customer information
  • Ensure customer focus identify customer requirements and communicate these to superior with proposal on means of meeting the requirements
  • Provide and maintain accurate information on competitors moves sales and distribution performance
  • Provide information on retail touch points and at the same time providing ideas to superior on how to develop those outlets
  • Build strong relationships with customers to ensure continuous growth in business
  • Customer service quality issues and customer complaints
  • Immediate communication of customer issues and complaints to superior and ensure follow up
  • Day to day assistance to customers with respect to Simba cement through visitation product knowledge etc.
  • Observe market development changes in business and discuss with superior to improve customer service in line with the market
  • Follow established quality control procedures to ensure cement products meets the customers requirements
  • Sending cement quality certificates and other publications when and as required by customer after consultation with superior
  • Identify customers training needs per market segmentation and communicate to superior for development of training program
  • Coordination and feedback of market intelligence
  • Provide feedback on what is happening in the market
  • Profiling competitors business model in the region and conduct analysis
  • Predict market shifts and identify possible opportunities or threats in new or existing market
  • Provide market intelligence so that Tanga Cement comparative position is enhanced
  • Constantly monitor competitor movement and report in line with competition law
  • Observe and report on market demand so that TC can improve on quality and product diversification
  • Retail touch point and brand development
  • Driving brand awareness through on-site face-to-face interaction with consumers.
  • Identify and execute Simba marketing activities in the outlets i.e. positioning visibility stocks point
  • Gathering and providing ideas on how to develop retail outlets in favour of Tanga Cement
  • Ultimate responsible for safe working practices especially at the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure environmental procedures are complied with and identity and manage environmental aspects that impact your area
  • Perform any other duties as may be required.



Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Professional experience:

  • Secondary school education or its equivalent with sales experience
  • Min Certificate/Diploma in Sales & Marketing or any related field
  • Basic understanding of cement production process aggregates cement products and cement technical knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of consumer industry
  • Planning: Daily weekly monthly/quarterly and annual planning of activities; set visitation route customer schedules targets and performance monitoring scheme; work on agreed implementation plan - market execution plans.
  • Organizing monitoring and controlling: Monitors and documents customers trends including complaints and trending problems; monitoring and documenting competitors movements and trends and controlled use of resources
  • Strong range management

ADDED ADVANTAGE:

  • At least 1-2 years experience in sales and marketing field or construction or concrete industry.
  • Bachelor s degree in Sales & Marketing.
  • Knowing how to ride a motorcycle.
