Some of the key accountabilities include but not limited to:
Implementation Plans

Lead the review and clearance of 2026 CO Implementation Plans (IPs) ensure timely reflection of cleared plans in WINGS and provide guidance to COs in preparing annual Implementation Plans as well as performing midyear reviews.

Ensure correct budget and project documentation is created and ensure relevant resource data is recorded in internal systems for reference in line with WFP standards and procedures.
Pipeline and Net Funding Requirements (NFR)

Review country office pipeline reports to ensure data accuracy and provide COs with technical guidance to prepare pipelines in line with corporate guidance and best practices ensuring quality accuracy and alignment with operational needs with a focus on strengthening pipeline narratives to support management decisionmaking.

Feed pipeline information to facilitate decisionmaking on resource allocation ensuring timely validation of Net Funding Requirements for assigned COs.
Fund Management & Resource Management Committee (RMC)

Monitor and provide advice on fund utilization and advance financing. Oversee loan and borrowing repayment and refinancing arrangements to ensure efficient financial management ensuring timely followup on repayments and collaboration with RB units for clearances while also identifying backfilling needs to support COs in maintaining business continuity.

Feed findings into monthly RMC analysis on associated cost analysis to ensure potential surplus/deficits are flagged in advance and mitigation measures are implemented accordingly.

Review CO RMC packages to ensure minimum requirements are met and providing comments and suggestions when needed. Contribute to COs RMC deep dives to ensure the content meets core requirements and supports improved monitoring practices including funds utilization and expenditure tracking.

Maintain a proactive and engaged approach in daily interactions with other units ensuring coordination of monthly Resource Management Committee (RMC) meetings and enhancement of monitoring practices.
Collaboration and Capacity Building

Further develop the capacity of WFP staff in budgeting fund management and operational planning of new funding streams through preparing and delivering training coaching guidelines and manuals while integrating best practices shared through quarterly BPO calls and fostering regional collaboration.

Continue and strengthen collaboration at HQ RB and CO levels. Identify key areas where B&P expertise can enhance resource management for new funding streams received for climate adaptation resilience and other changing livesrelated activities ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives and resiliencebuilding projects.
Analysis and Reporting

Monitor ongoing project performance against budget ensuring adherence to guidance and policies and providing financial analysis and advice to optimize resources.

Coordinate the preparation of accurate reports to provide consistent information for stakeholders identify trends/issues and propose solutions that support decisionmaking by senior management at a strategic level.

Analyse data and propose wellresearched ideas to senior officers for improvement to systems techniques tools processes and procedures to better monitor and manage budgets and funds.
Strategic Initiatives and Compliance

Engage in climate change initiatives to finalize guidance and provide relevant training packages while overseeing collaboration with HQ and stakeholders on resiliencebuilding projects and funding proposals.
