Job Summary

The Quality Tech Engineer serves as the critical bridge between R&D innovation and Manufacturing execution. Based at the Piscataway Technology Center this role acts as the primary execution lead for the Technology Transfer process ensuring new formulas and products are successfully scaled from the lab to manufacturing. Distinct from routine daily plant quality operations this role is laser focused on supporting New Product Innovation across our external and internal network. The Engineer will travel to execute plant trials help mitigate scale up risks drive post launch reviews and provide ongoing technical expertise to external/internal partners.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute all stages of the electronic Technology Transfer process for Manufacturing leveraging strategic support and guidance from the Sr. Tech Quality Manager and Quality Tech Director.

  • Act as the primary corporate resource bridging R&D and manufacturing capabilities. Relay critical information between manufacturing partners and R&D innovation needs leading technical discussions with engineers and key stakeholders at the plant.

  • Partner with site teams prior to trials to ensure operational readiness verify new raw material and packaging availability and support technical risk assessments for new product innovation.

  • Travel to manufacturing sites (Internal and/or External) to serve as the physical execution lead for plant trials and EMOs monitoring Critical Process Parameters directly on the floor and executing formal EMO reports.

  • Leverage deep technical knowledge of formulations and scale up processes to provide ongoing support to Plant Quality teams and Operations. Act as the subject matter expert for troubleshooting complex issues on both new innovations and existing manufactured products.

  • Lead the creation of post launch reports support broader On-Shelf Quality (OSQ) initiatives and partner with Quality Teams to investigate and resolve complex formula driven quality deviations across the CMO portfolio.

  • Facilitate ongoing synchronization meetings connecting R&D Quality and Site Operations to ensure seamless communication and remove roadblocks during commercialization.

  • Actively adopt and apply emerging AI and digital tools to support continuous improvement optimize external plant trials and enhance the overall efficiency of product commercialization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Chemical Mechanical Industrial) Chemistry or a closely related technical/scientific field.

  • 5 years of working experience in Quality Manufacturing R&D or Process Engineering within the consumer goods (FMCG) pharmaceutical or food/beverage industries.

  • Proven hands on experience participating in or leading plant trials new product scale ups or technology transfers from a laboratory environment to a manufacturing floor.

  • Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills with a demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve complex manufacturing or formula driven deviations.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex R&D requirements into practical manufacturing steps and the ability to influence cross-functional teams (Operations R&D Quality).

  • Willingness and ability to travel to various Manufacturing sites as required to support on site trials scale ups and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of cGMPs and FDA regulatory requirements.

  • Experience working directly with or within Manufacturing facilities.

  • Familiarity with the technology transfer process.

  • Background in manufacturing processing and scale up operations.

  • Experience utilizing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and/or SAP.


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $98600.00 - $137000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience qualifications and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses profit-sharing and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including medical dental vision basic life insurance paid parental leave disability coverage and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employees hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws.
