Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our this role you will provide support to our maintenance department by conducting routine maintenance troubleshooting equipment issues and repairing and/or replacing equipment and machinery.
This role reports to Nexus Circulars Materials Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery equipment and facilities including inspecting cleaning lubricating and adjusting parts as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and diagnose and repair mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Test and calibrate equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning.
- Perform major repairs and machine overhauls as necessary.
- Support maintenance vendors with routine visits.
- Perform cycle counts of maintenance spare parts.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of maintenance activities including work orders repairs and parts used through CMMS system.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production and operations teams to minimize downtime and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to safety and housekeeping protocols and follow established procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Keep up-to-date with equipment manuals procedures and training materials as required.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and machinery.
- Collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively to share knowledge and ensure the successful completion of maintenance tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associates degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as industrial maintenance mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
- Good understanding of safety protocols and regulations.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined and elevated spaces.
- Ability to work outside of regular hours as necessary and work overtime or emergency call-ins as required.
