Extrusion Technician Days

Scheduled Shift: Monday through Thursday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Core Functions:

• Support the setup and operation of medical tubing extrusion lines under moderate supervision.
• Operate assigned extrusion stations (foundational complexity) and follow established work instructions.
• Inspect products for defects measuring dimensions and ensure compliance with specifications
• Maintain pacing productivity and accuracy for the stations trained.
• Work with engineering quality assurance and maintenance teams to optimize processes and resolve issues
• Ensure proper material handling labeling and traceability.
• Follow all safety cleanroom and PPE requirements.
• Accurately and consistently record production data machine settings and maintenance issues for tracking and troubleshooting.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Background/Expertise:

• High school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong mathematical aptitude including the ability to calculate flow rates and measure circumference accurately.
• Ability to read and interpret customized blueprints safety rules operating procedures maintenance instructions and other technical documentation.
• Ability to write clear accurate reports and correspondence with proficiency in completing required documentation such as DPRs inventory management forms and data collections records.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk regularly throughout the day to perform production tasks.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements while demonstrating strong handeye coordination manual dexterity and good vision.
