Waste Driver Class 1

The role will also involve operating Class 2 vehicles when required with approximately 50% of duties expected to be carried out in Class 2 vehicles.

Secure base salary of 45627.21

Contract:Permanent full-time

Hours: Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday - 12 hours per day - start time 6 AM until 6:30 PM (Half hour lunch deducted). This position does require lone working.

Yorwastes Drivers are responsible for providing services to our commercial customers across York and North independently you will show good management of personal workload ensuring the safe operation and driving of our various vehicles in-line with our health and safety standards.

As an Class 1 Driver you will be responsible for the collection of recycling material including food waste. You will demonstrate good organisational and time-management skills adapting to varying routes and schedules based on the evolving needs of our clients and the business. Being a positive and enthusiastic person you will be able to adapt to operational obstacles that may arise in varying weather conditions. Excellent communication skills are required to coordinate regularly with our transport planners and the wider team ensuring an efficient and friendly service.

This position does require lone working.You may be required to work additional hours and bank holidays so availability during these times is important as is the ability to cover holidays and sickness as needed.

Essential Qualifications

• Category CE (Class 1) with no historical driving disqualifications.
• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
