We are seeking an inspiring and motivated Team Leader for Sport and Uniformed Services to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a committed group of staff delivering high-quality study programmes that support learners to achieve their full potential and progress into further education or employment.
You will play a key leadership role in driving outstanding teaching learning and assessment ensuring a consistently high standard of provision. Working collaboratively across the College and with external partners you will champion student success support staff development and contribute to a high-performing inclusive learning environment.
Note: This is a Fixed Term up to 12 months (Maternity cover)
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support a team of teaching staff to deliver an outstanding student experience
Monitor attendance retention and progress data and drive appropriate interventions
Manage performance appraisals and professional development for staff
Ensure high standards of teaching learning and assessment in line with College policies
Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and enhance provision
Contribute to quality assurance processes including lesson observations and reviews
Attend and contribute to performance safeguarding and planning meetings
Support marketing and promotional activities for the curriculum area
Maintain effective communication across staff assessors and stakeholders
Essential Criteria
Degree (or equivalent experience) in Sport or Uniformed Services
Teaching/training qualification with further education experience (or willingness to achieve)
Proven ability to motivate develop and lead a team
Strong data analysis skills with the ability to monitor and improve performance
Excellent communication and organisational skills
