An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Ecologist to join a well-established and growing environmental consultancy delivering ecology arboriculture and landscape services across the UK.
This role offers the chance to step into a senior position within a highly respected business taking ownership of a diverse project portfolio while leading and developing a small ecology team. With significant growth plans already underway the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the ecology function and building team capability as the business expands.
Working closely with the senior leadership team you will combine technical excellence with commercial awareness helping to deliver outstanding ecological outcomes while contributing to business development and client growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver a range of ecological surveys and assessments.
Manage projects from inception through to completion.
Produce high-quality technical reports and planning documentation.
Mentor and support junior ecologists.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Contribute to the strategic growth of the ecology team and wider business.
About You
Degree qualified in Ecology or a related discipline.
Strong experience delivering protected species surveys and ecological assessments.
Good knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG).
Protected species licences particularly bats would be advantageous.
Commercially minded with excellent client-facing skills.
Keen to take on leadership responsibility and help grow a team.
