Production Lines Scheduler
Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Production Planner to join the Logistics Department within the Cable business. This key role will be responsible for scheduling the efficient running of production through the factory to meet Customer orders and stock replenishment
Typical duties will be as follows:-
- Responsible for generating a detailed three day production plan to deliver high levels of customer service whilst ensuring the most efficient use of both plant and labour considering skills preventative maintenance and engineering activities.
- Schedule the factory MES aligned to the three day plan and maintain crewing sheets
- Manage order intake process maintain lead times production order date management and offline available to promise process daily.
- Attend daily meetings with the Production Controller and Shift Co-ordinators to communicate the business position relating to orders and stocks and to present and agree the short and long term production schedule and labour requirements.
- Manage WIP and FG to identify and utilise non standard lengths to reduce WIP and FG obsolescence
- Please note that you will be required to undertake a shift pattern which includes providing planning cover one weekend in three. You will be required to cover weekend holidays and absence between you.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience gained from within a manufacturing environment utilising modern planning tools. The candidate must also be able to use SAP generating reports into excel and manipulating data. Therefore computer literate and able to work well under pressure and be flexible to meet demanding deadlines.
