Job Title: PCB Design & Layout Engineer
Location: Chesterfield
Model: Fully Employed
Scope: Office Based Fully Onsite
Responsibilities:
Design analogue and digital electronic circuits for industrial applications
Develop PCB layouts including multi-layer designs
Select components with consideration for lifecycle and availability
Collaborate with embedded software engineers on hardwaresoftware integration
Support prototyping testing and validation
Liaise with manufacturing teams and external suppliers
Maintain documentation in line with recognised quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
Job requirements
Qualifications
Experience in electronic circuit design and PCB layout
Proficiency with tools such as Altium KiCad or equivalent
Strong understanding of mixed-signal design principles
Hands-on debugging and fault-finding skills
Awareness of electromagnetic compatibility considerations
Knowledge of design for manufacture principles
Ability to work on-site full time with regular use of lab and test equipment
Willingness and ability to travel as required
Valid driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
