Job Summary
FinOps Consultant
As a FinOps Consultant you will help to drive cost optimisation and efficiency in cloud environments. This is a hands-on and customer facing role helping organisations design and implement FinOps capabilities to continuously optimise spend and deliver maximum value from their public cloud investment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collate analyse prioritise cloud cost optimisation recommendations and calculate potential savings and benefits using FinOps tools
- Implement rate and usage optimisations within public cloud environments (Azure AWS and GCP)
- Create high quality customer facing collateral explaining cloud cost optimisation and FinOps and present them to customers both technical and non-technical
- Design and implement FinOps maturity roadmaps for customers to accelerate their FinOps capabilities from scratch or optimise existing approach
- Design and deliver training and enablement sessions to raise their understanding of cloud finance and economics
- Collaborate with pre-sales professional services and managed services to design and implement cost optimisations recommendations and best practices.
Skills / Experience
- Hands on experience implementing FinOps to optimise cloud costs with deep understanding of levers available to optimise cloud costs
- Strong understanding of the FinOps Framework capabilities lifecycle and domains
- Hands on experience with native and 3rd party public cloud cost management tools
- Comfortable public speaking and presenting to a wide range of audiences
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and client relationships
- Highly strong numerical and finance skills to investigate data and spot trends and anomalies
*Flexibility to travel to clients and London HQ when required
Qualifications :
Required:
- Certifications such as FinOps Practitioner or FinOps Professional
Preferred but not essential:
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
