Cook. Manor Park Care Home

• Hours: 30 per week
• Salary: £14.92 per hour
• Shift Pattern: 07:45am - 6:30pm working Thursday Friday and Saturday each week

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook to join our kitchen team and help deliver nutritious well-balanced meals that support the health and wellbeing of our residents.

Key Responsibilities.

As a Cook you will assist in preparing and serving meals that are both nutritious and enjoyable catering to a variety of dietary needs. Working closely with the Head Chef and care team you’ll ensure that every meal is made with care quality and attention to detail.

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary requirements.
• Ensure food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperature.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
• Support with stock control food storage and kitchen organisation.
• Follow food safety regulations and internal policies.
• Build positive relationships with residents taking into account their preferences and feedback.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Cook ideally in a care home healthcare or hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A caring respectful approach to working in a care environment.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends.
