An opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Chartered Architect to join a growing Expert & Advisory Services team working in a technical advisory and design-led capacity across complex construction and property matters. This role has a strong focus on live projects technical strategy and remedial design offering exposure to a diverse client base and multidisciplinary collaboration.
The Role
The successful candidate will provide high-level technical and strategic advice across residential commercial and mixed-use developments. The role will also contribute to the expansion of advisory services on live construction projects including acting as Principal Designer and Contract Administrator where required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide architectural and technical advisory services to clients including developers housing associations insurers and asset owners
Undertake detailed technical reviews of design information site conditions and construction methodologies
Contribute to remedial and feasibility strategies including outline design specifications and drawings for costing purposes
Support live projects in an advisory Principal Designer or Contract Administrator capacity
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including fire engineers façade consultants and cost consultants
Advise on regulatory compliance including Building Regulations fire safety and CDM
Support client engagement and ongoing service development within the advisory function
Requirements
ARBregistered and RIBA Chartered Architect
Minimum 10 years postqualification experience
Strong technical knowledge of detailing construction processes and regulatory frameworks
Experience across residential commercial and mixeduse sectors
Confident communicator with the ability to explain complex technical matters clearly
Good working knowledge of consultant appointments procurement routes and contracts
