Assistant Management Accountant Apprentice

We are looking for an Apprentice Assistant Management Accountant to join our team on a 2-year fixed-term contract. This apprenticeship in will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while studying towards a professional qualification in AAT. 

This role will primarily work within our Finance Centre of Excellence but would also interact and spend time with Divisional Finance as required/ suitable.

You will be part of a rotational programme covering different aspects of Finance which would include:

• Accounts Payable: Processing invoices reconciling supplier statements and managing payment runs.
• Accounts Receivable: Raising invoices chasing outstanding debts and reconciling customer accounts.
• Management Accounting: Preparing monthly management accounts balance sheet reconciliation and supporting audit processes.
• Reporting & Planning: Assisting with budgeting forecasting and financial analysis

Qualifications :

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Finance team with day-to-day tasks and projects.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
• Participate in the rotational programme gaining experience in different areas of Finance.
• Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of your apprenticeship.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including Maths and English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills.
