At Hitachi Energy we are investing to establish and develop an Operation Center of Excellence in Madrid Spain (ESOPC) within the Grid & Power Quality Solutions business in Europe (HBUEU).

In this role you will ensure effective Quality Management across daily operations and processes by driving process compliance continuous improvement and a strong quality culture while also supporting project execution through structured Project Quality practices.

How youll make an impact

Quality Management

  • Ensure deployment and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) and internal standards

  • Monitor quality performance (COPQ defects audits) and drive corrective actions

  • Identify process gaps and lead audits ensuring closure and standardization

  • Define and drive quality objectives and KPIs aligned with the Unit strategy

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead operational improvement initiatives (DMAIC PDCA Kaizen)

  • Reduce COPQ variability and inefficiencies

  • Embed lessons learned into standard processes to ensure sustainability

Quality Culture & Engagement

  • Promote quality ownership across functions

  • Enable and coach teams on quality mindset and structured problem solving

  • Support bottom-up improvement initiatives

Project Quality Support

  • Support project teams on Project Quality standards and practices

  • Contribute to quality plans risk identification and corrective actions

  • Monitor project quality performance and escalate when needed

Your background

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or relevant experience in Quality Management.

  • Minimum 5 years of experiencein Quality Management

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (required); Black Belt (nice to have)

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Spanish

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in root cause analysis

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across different functions
