About the role
We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Analyst to join our team in Barcelona. This is a broad hands-on role covering daily operations bookkeeping supplier and customer finance operations month-end reporting and statutory compliance. You will also support other group entities and contribute to the scalability of our global finance function through process improvements and system optimisation.

Key responsibilities you will be in charge of
Process expert and supplier payments including supporting the preparation of payment runs.
Manage bookkeeping and reconciliations in Xero and Spendesk (expenses cards and vendor invoices).
Handle month-end and year-end closings including support with management accounts preparation.
Support the finance helpdesk mailbox and Slack channels answering supplier client and internal queries.
Support Accounts Receivable activities including invoicing and credit control.
Liaise with third-party accountants to ensure compliance with local statutory requirements (tax filings VAT audits) and maintain internal controls across finance operations.
Partner with the global finance team on treasury cash flow management and cross-functional finance support.
Coordinate with finance counterparts across entities to standardise practices and share insights.
Drive improvements in finance processes focusing on accuracy efficiency and system optimization.
Support ad hoc finance tasks and data analysis.
About you
We are looking for someone who can quickly learn new processes and tools is data-savvy and is excited about working in a fast-paced growing tech startup. You are comfortable handling a variety of finance tasks bring a proactive mindset to improving processes and systems and can manage multiple priorities while collaborating with international teams.
Requirements to succeed in this role
Degree or certification in Accounting Finance or Business Administration; chartered accountancy or a masters degree is a plus but not required.
2-4 years of experience in a similar finance or accounting role ideally within a multinational or professional services environment.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets and workspace tools.
Experience with accounting software (Xero preferred but not essential).
Familiarity with multi-entity and multi-currency finance operations.
Experience with statutory compliance (VAT tax filings audits) is a plus.
Exposure to financial technology solutions including ERP systems or data visualisation tools is a plus.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
Interest in data analysis and reporting.
Collaborative flexible and proactive working style.
Professional level of English required; additional European languages are a plus.
