Preservation Technician
Job Summary
Responsibilities
Preservation Activities: Carry out preservation of mechanical electrical and instrumentation systems to prevent corrosion and deterioration during offshore operations.
Surface Protection: Apply protective coatings greases and inhibitors to equipment and piping systems.
System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain preservation status of critical equipment ensuring readiness for commissioning and start-up.
Documentation: Record preservation activities inspection results and maintain logs for QA/QC compliance.
Safety Compliance: Follow offshore HSE standards PPE requirements and permit-to-work systems during preservation tasks.
Coordination: Work closely with preservation foremen QA/QC inspectors and commissioning teams to ensure proper preservation practices.
Requirements
Requirements
Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 35 years of offshore preservation experience.
Strong knowledge of corrosion prevention equipment preservation techniques and offshore standards.
Ability to read and interpret preservation procedures equipment manuals and QA/QC guidelines.
Familiarity with ASTM ISO and NOC preservation standards.
Certifications & Training
Preservation Qualification Procedure (MDR/Equivalent)
BOSIET / HUET (OPITO certified)
