Job Summary

We are looking for skilled and field-oriented IoT Installation Technicians to support large-scale fleet modernization and smart transportation projects for Mowasalat in Qatar.

The technician will be responsible for installation replacement testing commissioning and troubleshooting of IoT and telematics devices across buses depots workshops and school premises.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in electrical installation automotive wiring telematics systems or low-voltage device installation.

Key Responsibilities
Device Installation & Replacement
Remove existing legacy devices wiring antennas and mounting brackets safely
Install and configure:
Onboard Units (OBU)
Palm Scanner Devices
Communication Modules
GPS & Antenna Systems
Perform cable routing wiring connector fixing and device mounting
Ensure secure installation using approved methods and tools

Testing & Commissioning
Conduct power-on validation and device testing
Verify device connectivity and communication status
Perform GNSS / GPS signal checks
Support backend registration and commissioning activities
Identify and report basic technical issues during installation

Documentation & Reporting
Maintain installation checklists and reports
Record serial numbers and device IDs accurately
Capture before-and-after installation photos
Submit daily work progress reports

Safety & Compliance
Follow electrical and workplace safety procedures
Ensure proper handling of installation tools and equipment
Prevent damage to buses depots and customer premises

Operational Support
Work as part of field deployment teams
Support shift-based operations including night/weekend work if required

Required Qualifications
Diploma / ITI / Technical Certification in:
Electrical
Electronics
Mechatronics
Automotive Electrical
Industrial Electronics
Related Technical Trades
Travel across depots workshops and school locations as assigned

Experience Required
2–4 years of hands-on field installation experience
Experience in one or more of the following:
Vehicle electronics installation
Fleet telematics systems
GPS tracking device installation
CCTV installation
Biometric systems
Access control systems
IoT field deployment

Technical Skills
Electrical wiring & cable routing
Connector fixing & power testing
Multimeter handling
Device mounting & installation tools
Basic troubleshooting skills

Preferred Knowledge
CANbus wiring
GPS & telematics devices
SIM connectivity
Hikvision devices
Howen devices
