Job Summary
Responsibilities
Surface Preparation: Perform abrasive blasting to clean and prepare steel surfaces for coating application.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate blasting equipment compressors and associated tools.
Quality Control: Ensure blasting meets required cleanliness standards (e.g. SA 2.5 or project-specific requirements).
Coating Support: Work closely with painters and coating inspectors to ensure surfaces are ready for protective coatings.
Safety Compliance: Follow offshore HSE standards PPE requirements and permit-to-work systems during blasting operations.
Documentation: Record blasting activities inspection results and maintain compliance logs.
Requirements
Requirements
Minimum 35 years of offshore abrasive blasting experience.
Strong knowledge of surface preparation standards and offshore corrosion control.
Ability to read and follow coating specifications and QA/QC procedures.
Familiarity with ASTM ISO and NOC coating standards.

SD-NOC-COR-350 Blaster Qualification Standard
BOSIET / HUET (OPITO certified)
