We are looking for a motivatedData Engineering Internto join our team and gain hands-on experience working with modern data platforms. This is a unique opportunity to work with bothSnowflakeandDatabricksin a real-world enterprise-grade environment supporting analytics data pipelines and data-driven decision-making on a global scale.
We are on a journey to leverage AI digitalization automation and data to transform our business. You will join a collaborative Data Science & Engineering team working across Denmark and Poland alongside experienced data engineers data scientists and ML engineers. As an intern you will be mentored and gradually given ownership of tasks with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to real projects from day one.
What you will be doing
As a Data Engineering Intern you will primarily support ourSnowflake-based data platformin the marketing & sales domain while also getting exposure to ourDatabricks-based Factory Data Platform. Your work will span data ingestion transformation modeling and pipeline development. Expect a mix of learning and doing youll contribute to production work while building your skills in a supportive team environment.
Moreover you will:
- Assist in enhancing and maintaining theData Lakehouse on Snowflakewith new datasets
- Support the creation and organization of data models and transformations usingDBT
- Help organize and improvedata pipelinesacross multiple stages
- Contribute to automation of data processes to smoothly serve data to stakeholders
- Assist with monitoring alerting and logging solutions on ourDatabricks-based Factory Data Platform
- Participate in investigating and resolving common data pipeline issues
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand use cases
- Document data processes schemas and workflows
What You Bring
Must Have:
- Currently pursuing Bachelors or Masters degreein Computer Science Data Science Software Engineering Information Systems or a related field
- SQL solid foundational knowledge (writing queries joins aggregations)
- Python basic programming skills
- Basic understanding ofrelational databases
- English B2 proficiency(working language of the team)
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive can-do attitude
- Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate in an international team
Big Advantage:
- Familiarity withSnowflakeor any cloud data warehouse
- Familiarity withDatabricksor Apache Spark (even from coursework)
- Exposure toDBT(data build tool)
- Basic knowledge ofcloud platforms(Azure GCP)
- Exposure toGit/GitHubfor version control
- Understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema snowflake schema etc.)
- Familiarity with anyBI/visualization tool(e.g. PowerBI Streamlit)
- Ability to useLLM toolsto optimize your work (ChatGPT GitHub Copilot etc.)
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity withDockeror containerization concepts
- Exposure toAirflowKafka or other orchestration/streaming tools
- Basic knowledge ofnetworkingconcepts
- Exposure toJinjatemplating
- Experience withAzure or GCP services
