About the Role
The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for developing implementing and monitoring quality assurance and quality control processes across construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with approved standards specifications regulatory requirements and industry best practices while driving continuous quality improvement throughout project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop implement and maintain project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plans and procedures.
Conduct inspections and quality audits on construction activities materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Monitor and verify testing activities ensuring proper documentation of test results and inspection records.
Review construction processes and identify quality risks recommending corrective and preventive actions where necessary.
Coordinate with project managers site engineers consultants contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
Prepare and maintain quality documentation including inspection reports quality records non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action reports (CARs).
Conduct internal quality audits and support external audits by clients consultants and regulatory bodies.
Monitor compliance with applicable construction codes standards and regulatory requirements.

Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Engineering Structural Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of proven QA/QC experience within the construction industry particularly on infrastructure road bridge and building projects.
Professional certification in Quality Management or Quality Assurance/Quality Control is mandatory (e.g. ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor ASQ Certification CQI/IRCA or equivalent).
Membership of relevant engineering and professional bodies is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems construction standards engineering specifications and regulatory requirements.
Experience conducting quality inspections audits testing verification and non-conformance management.
Excellent analytical documentation reporting and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QA/QC documentation and reporting systems.
