Job description

Job Summary:**

Hitachi Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to support the efficient operation of our warehouse facilities. This role involves assisting with various tasks related to inventory management shipping and receiving contributing to a smooth and organized workflow.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Receive unload and inspect incoming materials and products ensuring accuracy against purchase orders.
* Store materials in designated locations using appropriate equipment (e.g. pallet jacks forklifts if certified).
* Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for outgoing shipments.
* Prepare shipping documentation and labels.
* Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
* Maintain a clean organized and safe warehouse environment.
* Operate warehouse equipment safely and according to established procedures.
* Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
* Report any damaged goods equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
* Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.

Job Qualifications:**

* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
* Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management systems.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols.
* Forklift certification is a plus.
