The Role
At our Eindhoven site we develop and build advanced Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEM). As a Test Engineer you take ownership of testing and aligning these complex systems using technical documentation and procedures.
Your key responsibility is to assemble and configure systems by integrating TEM modules into cabinets followed by alignment calibration and performance verification to ensure each microscope meets strict quality standards before shipment. The role is hands-on and varied including tasks such as handling samples working with liquid nitrogen and generating high-resolution images at atomic level. You identify and resolve issues document results and collaborate closely with colleagues across production and engineering.
You will join a close-knit team working on different product lines (Metrios Spectra Krios Baseline). Building and testing a system can take several months and you play a key role in delivering reliable high-precision equipment to customers.
Your Profile:
A vocational (MBO-4) or Bachelors degree (HBO) is required preferably in Electrical Engineering Mechatronics or related fields.
Hands-on experience in testing electrotechnical systems (e.g. modules cables control cabinets) or a strong interest in developing these skills.
Able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics (TPD).
Experience with or interest in tools/programming (e.g. Python MATLAB PLCs) is an advantage.
Comfortable in a high-tech environment; cleanroom experience is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a structured way of working.
Proactive team player with a positive hands-on mindset good English communication skills and adaptability in a diverse environment.
