You will be working in a sophisticated and constantly evolving environment facilitating processes between Manufacturing & Field Services engineers providing technical support and solving complex problems to ensure the system specifications are compliant with the customer requirements. The primary focus of this role is to provide the factory with technical expertise and practical solutions in sample manipulating technology (stages) aiming for structural improvements. Last but not least you will help tackle customer and supply chain related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What will you do
- Providing technical support to the factory to ensure the shipping of high-quality systems to our customers by solving challenging problems and ensuring system requirements.
- Performing hands-on assembly testing trouble shooting and training of personnel.
- Supporting factory and field service engineers with first builds installs and upgrades of newly introduced modules.
- Creating and maintaining work instructions and defining way of working (factory process flow).
- Develop domain expertise on microscope components.
- Supporting the supply chain with engineering expertise including; first articles rejects failure analysis and nonconformities.
- Prepare submit and drive engineering changes to improve quality manufacturability and cost.
How will you get there
- Knowledge and experience in the field of high precision mechatronic systems is a must. A minimum of 5 years experience in this area is advised.
- A Bachelor/Master of Science degree in Mechatronics is required or a combination of an engineering education and relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated hands-on and experience with automation controls and process validation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis is highly beneficial.
- Experience with technical product documentation and change management processes.
- Excellent English language skills (verbal and in writing) Dutch is a huge plus.
- Ability to mentor and train manufacturing personnel in a cleanroom environment.
