Medior Data Platform Engineer

• As a Medior Data Platform Engineer you contribute to building and improving Jumbos modern data platform. You develop scalable ingestion workflows and platform solutions that enable teams across the organization to work safely and reliably with data.
• At Jumbo data plays an important role in improving processes customer experience and decision-making. By making data accessible and reliable you help teams across the organization work smarter and faster.
• You work within the Data Platform team on building and improving Jumbos modern cloud-based data platform. Together with your colleagues you develop scalable platform solutions and ingestion workflows for teams across the organization.
• You collaborate closely with data platform engineers data engineers and platform teams within the Tech & Data addition you work together with data producers and data consumers on reliable and scalable data solutions.

Lets get started What youll do
As a Medior Data Platform Engineer you contribute to scalable ingestion and platform solutions within a modern cloud data environment. You help build improve and operate reliable workflows and platform capabilities.

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing data ingestion workflows using Python;
• Building CI/CD workflows using GitHub and Terraform;
• Working with orchestration tooling and Kubernetes for ingestion flows;
• Delivering data into Databricks and Delta Lake environments;
• Developing reusable Python code for data integrations and workflows;
• Optimizing workflows for performance and scalability;
• Collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Implementing standards for security governance and quality;
• Monitoring and improving ingestion pipelines and workflows.

You will work within the Tech & Data domain at the Jumbo Tech Campus in Veghel. Here we build and improve scalable cloud data solutions that support teams across the entire organization.

In addition you bring:

• Experience with software and data engineering concepts and best practices;
• Strong Python engineering skills;
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Delta Lake;
• Experience with ingestion workflows and cloud-native data solutions;
• Experience with CI/CD workflows GitHub and Terraform;
• Experience with Kubernetes and orchestration tooling is a plus;
• Experience monitoring ingestion pipelines and workflows;
• Strong stakeholder management skills.

• A gross salary between 5.100 - 6.600 per month (based on 40 hours).
• An annual bonus of max 5% of your annual salary based on organizational goals.
• 30 days of paid holiday (with the opportunity to buy or sell days of paid holiday) and 8% holiday allowance. You build up a pension through participation in the Pension Fund for the Food Industry.
