Job Summary
The Junior Controller is a key member of the Fluke EMEA Controlling Team which consists of 18 FTEs and reports one of the Regional this role you will be responsible for the financial controlling of several legal entities within a designated region. Key responsibilities include managing balance sheet and P&L accounts ensuring compliance with statutory and corporate income tax (CIT) requirements and maintaining adherence to internal controls (SOX). The ideal candidate will also take the lead in identifying and driving improvement initiatives related to accounting processes and internal control will join a high-performing friendly and supportive team.
Test Your Skills
- Manage the statutory reporting cycle for the legal entities in the assigned region in close cooperation with the other controlling team members and the external auditors.
- Review analyze and correct the balance sheet account of the assigned legal entities. Corrections are followed up with the process owner of the transactions to ensure process improvements.
- Review analyze and correct transactions on assigned cost centers for all impacted EMEA legal entities. Prepare and present the annual budget cycle for the assigned cost centers and manage the monthly forecast updates. Be the business partner for the Cost center owners under your management.
- Ensure a timely and correct Month End Close and Reporting cycle within tight closing schedules.
- With the support of the Regional Controller own assigned complex accounting flows within the Controlling team (e.g. Cost accounting Transfer pricing Statutory management CIT reporting Currency management).
- Take ownership of the various internal (US GAAP) and external tax reporting (CIT) and support tax audits (CIT/VAT/Wage tax) for your legal entities.
- Support the various internal and external compliance audits (e.g. SOX IA ACP).
- As representative of the EMEA (Controlling) Finance team support the involvement of the EMEA (Controlling) Finance team inprojects that support continues improvement and current business developments.
- Be part of an open and supportive team culture.
- Maintain close relationships with other European and Corporate finance teams to ensure business decisions are consistent with the interests of the wider Fluke and Fortive.
Qualifications
- A bachelors degree in finance or accounting
- Background in auditing/ compliance is preferred
- At minimum 2-3 years of related financial experience in an international environment
- Experience and knowledge of GAAP (preferably US GAAP) and financial accounting
- Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Hands-on mentality with a pro-active attitude
- Experience with ERP software (preferably Oracle) and proficient Excel skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment
