Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Networking Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Terraform to design build and manage secure scalable and enterprise-grade Azure cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in Azure infrastructure engineering complex networking architectures Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud platform operations within enterprise or banking environments. This role requires strong technical capabilities along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Platform Infrastructure Engineering

• Design build and maintain enterprise-scale Azure landing zones aligned with governance security and compliance standards
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated scalable and repeatable deployments
• Build configure and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters ensuring high availability scalability and security
• Support and maintain Azure PaaS services including:
  • Azure App Services
  • Azure SQL
  • Azure Storage
  • Azure Key Vault
  • Azure Service Bus
  • Azure Event Hub
  • Azure Monitor
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational processes
• Ensure platform reliability resiliency and disaster recovery readiness

Complex Azure Networking (Core Focus Area)

• Architect and implement advanced Azure networking solutions including:
  • Hub-and-spoke architecture
  • Virtual WAN architecture
  • VNET peering
  • Private Endpoints
  • Service Endpoints
  • Azure Firewall
  • Network Security Groups (NSGs)
  • User Defined Routes (UDRs)
  • Azure Application Gateway
  • Azure Load Balancers
• Design and manage hybrid connectivity solutions using:
  • ExpressRoute
  • VPN Gateway
• Implement secure private networking patterns for AKS and Azure PaaS integrations
• Work closely with security and network teams to ensure compliance with enterprise and banking security standards
• Troubleshoot complex networking and connectivity issues across cloud environments

Monitoring Reliability & Operations

• Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions using:
  • Azure Monitor
  • Log Analytics
  • Application Insights
• Create custom dashboards alerts and proactive monitoring solutions
• Drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps best practices
• Support production environments and participate in:
  • Incident management
  • Problem management
  • Change management
• Ensure platform stability availability and performance optimization

Cost Optimization & Governance

• Drive Azure FinOps and cloud cost optimization initiatives including:
  • Resource rightsizing
  • Autoscaling strategies
  • Reservation planning
  • Cost visibility and reporting
• Build Azure Cost Management dashboards and reports
• Implement governance controls using:
  • Azure Policy
  • RBAC
  • Tagging standards
  • Budget alerts
• Ensure compliance with enterprise governance frameworks

Collaboration & Communication

• Act as a technical advisor to application infrastructure and data teams
• Collaborate with architects developers security teams and stakeholders
• Communicate complex technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to:
  • Architecture reviews
  • Technical design documents
  • Operational runbooks
  • Best practice guidelines
• Support Agile ways of working and cross-functional collaboration
