Should Costing Specialist

As a Sr Procurement Project Spec here at Honeywell you will manage procurement projects ensuring cost-effectiveness quality and timely delivery. Drive strategic sourcing supplier relationships and continuous improvement. You will report directly to our Procurement Project Manager and youll work out of our Monterrey location on a Hybrid work schedule.

• Need to be part of costing negotiation process and must influence cost reduction and cost avoidance.
• Manage & Execute should costing forSheet Metal Casting & Machining Components&assemblies.
• Work with Strategic sourcing Engineering and offering management team during NPI-RFI/RFQ Phase to establish cost targets.
• Optimize processes and identify cost opportunities.
• Consult with and advise product development engineers on economic alternatives for their design and suggest trade-offs.

MUST HAVE:

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech - Mechanical Engineering.
• 4 to 65 Years of professional experience dealing with mechanical and/or electromechanical products. (3-5 MX)
• 5 years hands on experience in shop floor handling stamping fabrication casting & machining components.
• 3 years core experience in costing (mechanical) using modern tools (like aPriori TCPCM DFMAetc. or Excel based) and with use of Global economics data. Exposure to electronic products is desirable.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Good Manufacturing background inStamping (Progressive Inlay) Fabrication (Turret press Laser Welding metal forming techniques) Casting (Sand Casting GDC) machining (Turning centers machining centers 5 Axis machining Multi spindle automate machining)
• Sound knowledge inNesting developmentfor stamped & formed sheet metal and for Injection & Compression mold parts
• Hands-on experience with cost estimation/reduction techniques (DFA DFM) tools (Siemens aPriori DFMAetc) & processes for mechanical electrical and electronic parts/assemblies. Ability to analyze various cost scenarios is an added advantage.
• Exposure to Plastics & electrical products will be an added advantage.
• Good Automotive industry background.
• Have good understanding on Global Economics Data
• Has good Sourcing experience Techno commercial Global business understanding.
• Previous part manufacturing and assembly experience is highly desired.
• Proficient with either Pro Engineer software or at least CAD software
• Ability to identify and deploy process improvements
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively
• Communicate project status and program needs across different levels of the organization and different operating environments
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing process of mechanical parts. Knowledge on electrical and electronics parts is an added advantage.
