Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Contract OperationsSpecialist a key role within theExternal Expert Engagement Services (E3S)team of theGlobalBusiness Services (GBS)unit. This position is pivotal in leading and ensuringaccurateand compliant processing of contracting requestsin accordance withpolicies procedures regulations and transparency/disclosure reporting requirements. The role also provides payment support related to management of associated payments when. A successful candidate will have a project management mentality with a focus on responsiveness partnering to conduct operational tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness of requirementsand will provide guidance to partners (customers) management and peers.
Accountabilities
Reviewing and ensuring the completeness of incoming External Expert/Patient engagement applications and requests.
Managingthe triaging of these requests to theappropriate reviewerand business area offering guidance to guarantee the acquisition and retention of required approvals.
Performingpreliminary reviews to safeguard against contracting with any individual or entity that is debarred excluded or restricted for any reason from doing business with the organization.
Ensuringthetimelyreceipt of drivenLetters ofAgreement (LOA) and contractsin accordance withservice level agreements before the program start date.
Managingprovider requests for changes to LOAs/contracts
Collecting data elements to ensure adherence to physician payment reporting requirements for Open Payments EFPIA and other state and country regulations. This accountability extends to ensuringaccurateandtimelyrequests for required payment information byfacilitatingthetimelyreceipt of necessary documents and collaborating with the payment team.
Contribute to design launch and other operations improvementprojects as a subject matter expert.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Bachelors degreeand a minimum ofoneyear experience in a similar functioning role.
Strong technical/systems experience and skills(Salesforce Excel Word)
Ability to quickly learn and work within Astra Zenecaadministrative tools and multiple processes.
Comfort working independently prioritizing and adjustingworkload as business needs require.
Demonstrated ability to project manage and organize each activity by working with and managing customers.
Leadingbudget owners through the contracting process followingstandard operating procedures and working instructions.
Understanding of purchase to pay systems/processes procurement.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills (English is the corporate language)
Workingwith cross-functional teams anddemonstratedability to partner effectively with othersbuilding a relationship of open communication and trust
High ethical standards honestoperatingwith absolute discretion.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Demonstrated experience in a similar role ordemonstratedability to manage simple to complex projects/contracts.
Prior experience in the biopharmaceutical industry (Sales Marketing Research & Development Compliance Legal Procurement) or a consulting firm working with pharmaceutical clients.
Familiarity with the technical and functional elements of requirements including but not limited to compliance legislation (e.g. Physician Payment Sunshine Act EFPIA) data sources/quality and reporting.
Experience with compliance finance auditing quality assurance/controlSOXand/or risk management
Global / cross-cultural experience
