Job Summary
About the role
Youll join Devoteams engineering practice and work across client engagements from financial services to large enterprises where the infrastructure actually matters. Youll be embedded in cross-functional teams shaping DevOps standards from the ground up not inheriting someone elses neglected setup.
What youll do
- Design build and own CI/CD pipelines across multiple projects and platforms (GitLab CI GitHub Actions Jenkins) from initial design to production;
- Automate deployment and infrastructure release workflows cutting manual toil and reducing the surface area for human error;
- Define and implement observability strategies covering metrics logs and distributed traces so issues are caught before users notice them;
- Design implement and operate Kafka-based data pipelines and real-time messaging infrastructure supporting critical business operations;
- Write Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or OpenTofu paired with configuration management via Ansible Salt or Puppet;
- Investigate platform incidents end-to-end and own the resolution including writing the post-mortem and updating the runbook;
- Actively contribute to Devoteams internal DevOps community through code reviews knowledge-sharing sessions and internal talks.

- Messaging & streaming: Apache Kafka Kafka Streams KSQL Apache Flink;
- IaC & config management: Terraform OpenTofu Ansible Salt Puppet;
- CI/CD: GitLab CI GitHub Actions Jenkins;
- Scripting: Bash Python PowerShell;
- Networking: Traffic management secure protocols storage architectures.
Qualifications :
What were looking for
Must-have:
- 3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps SRE or platform engineering roles;
- Senior-level Kubernetes experience including hardening (AppArmor SELinux Seccomp eBPF);
- Solid IaC background: proven experience designing pipelines not just maintaining them;
- Experience designing and operating Kafka-based architectures for real-time data processing;
- Comfortable owning infrastructure documentation if it isnt written down it doesnt exist;
- Fluent in both written and spoken French and English.
Nice to have:
- Certifications: CKA CKAD CKS or equivalent cloud certifications (AWS Azure GCP);
- Experience with DevSecOps tooling: Trivy Falco OPA/Kyverno HashiCorp Vault;
- Familiarity with service mesh solutions: Istio or Linkerd;
- Authentication/authorization protocols: OIDC SAML RBAC ReBAC;
- Prior experience in regulated environments (banking financial services).
Soft skills: Self-starter Able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders Quick to ramp up in new team and technical environments
