Network Operations Engineer (BAU)
The Role
We are looking for a skilled Network Operations Engineer to deliver advanced day-to-day network operations support within a complex enterprise-scale environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability performance and reliability of network services handling complex incidents and contributing to continuous service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced operational support for network infrastructure acting as a key escalation point for complex incidents and issues
- Analyse diagnose and resolve network incidents in a timely manner minimising impact on business operations
- Perform operational maintenance activities including routine checks configuration updates and performance monitoring
- Support the implementation of network changes ensuring adherence to change management processes and minimising operational risk
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across a range of network components including routers switches firewalls and load balancers
- Contribute to service stability and performance improvement initiatives through proactive monitoring and root cause analysis
- Document operational procedures incident reports and resolution steps to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
Profile
- Solid experience in network operations within enterprise or managed services environments
- Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco technologies across routing switching and network management
- Proven ability to manage and resolve complex network incidents under pressure
- Familiarity with ITIL-based service management practices and change management processes
- Analytical mindset with a structured approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Fluent in English ; German is a strong advantage
