Introduction:

We are excited to offer an opportunity for unemployed individuals who have not previously participated in the Yes4Youth initiative to join our team for a 12-month internship program. This program is designed to provide valuable work experience and skill development in various areas including HR administration, IT support, general sales administration, and application support engineering.
Key Requirements:
  • Unemployed individuals who have not previously participated in the Yes4Youth initiative.
  • AA/EE candidates only.
  • Preference will be given to disabled individuals.
  • Age between 18 – 35 years.
  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Start date - 01 April 2024.
Job Description:
As a Yes4Youth Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to various departments within our organization. The key areas of focus include:
HR Administration:
  • Assisting with recruitment processes including job postings, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
  • Supporting employee onboarding and offboarding procedures.
  • Assisting with HR documentation and record-keeping.
  • Participating in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
IT Support:

  • Providing technical support to internal users on hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Assisting with the setup and configuration of computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Troubleshooting technical problems and escalating issues as necessary.
General Sales Administration:

  • Supporting the sales team with administrative tasks such as preparing sales documents, maintaining customer records, and processing orders.
  • Assisting in the coordination of sales activities and events.
  • Providing administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of the sales department.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services to customers.
Application Support Engineering:
  • Assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications.
  • Providing technical support to users for application-related issues.
  • Assisting in testing and troubleshooting software applications.
  • Collaborating with developers and IT teams to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum educational qualification: NQF Level 4 or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • For IT and application support roles, basic knowledge of IT systems and troubleshooting skills would be advantageous.
