A Good Ofsted school is currently looking for a Year 2 teacher in Chipping Norton Oxfordshire from April 2024; this school has beautiful grounds based in the heart of Chipping Norton Oxfordshire.

This is an inspiring and dynamic twoform entry school with a safe happy healthy and secure environment that is based in SouthEast of England. The school creates a purposeful learning environment and seek to achieve a balance between adultled and childinitiated interactions and activities. The school has a lovely SLT and a team of dedicated and passionate staff who strive to guide and support children every step of the way as well as deliver a firstclass education. They work with children form the age of 2 to 11 years old and provide a world class education where their students are high achievers happy and can transition into their next phase of education.

Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver exciting and engaging lessons that challenge and inspire Year 2 students to reach their full potential

Monitor and assess students progress and keep regular records of Year 2 students academic performance

Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning

Collaborate with school management teaching staff and parents to provide quality academic support for Year 2 students

Prepare and participate in schoolrelated activities such as performances events and parent/teacher meetings

Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all children

Use a variety of effective classroom management strategies to ensure an orderly and safe learning environment

Year 2 Teacher Requirements:

  • Year 2 teacher experience
  • QTS or equivalent
  • A recognized qualification in teaching preferably a PGCE Bachelors degree in Education or any relevant field
  • Proven experience in teaching Year 2 in a mainstream primary or secondary school
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with parents staff and students
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and its application in class
  • Ability to adapt teaching styles to facilitate different learning styles
  • A passion for teaching and making a difference in students lives.
