As a Year 2 teacher in this lovely and progressive school you will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects to Year 2 students. It will provide you with an opportunity to support and motivate students to reach their full potential and work alongside a supportive and excellent team of staff.

Year 2 Teacher responsibilities:

• Plan prepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to Year 2 students using creativity and innovation to keep the students engaged.

• Assess and evaluate student progress providing formal and informal feedback to students and parents.

• Collaborate with colleagues to plan prepare and participate in school events including extracurricular activities.

• Establish and maintain open and positive communication with students parents and colleagues.

• Utilise a studentcentered approach to teaching encouraging independent thinking and problemsolving.

• Incorporate inclusive practices into teaching approaches recognising the diverse needs of students.

• Ensure accurate recordkeeping including attendance records and student data in line with the schools policies.

Year 2 Teacher requirements:

• QTS PGCE and strong academic record
• Experience teaching key stage 1 students.
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Highly organised and able to manage competing demands effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Passionate about teaching and creating a positive learning environment.

Salary

The salary for this Year 2 position will be paid to scale on a permanent contract to scale MPS/UPS.
