The role

From our Falmouth Hub, we design, build, and operate bespoke over water drilling equipment and you will have opportunities to gain experience both in the workshop and field to see our equipment in action hand to fully understand its purpose and enhance your knowledge and experience.

As a Yard and Paint Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring workshop operations and movements are completed in safe and timely fashion by working closely with the Yard Supervisor and the paint department, actively contributing to health and safety on site and promoting a positive culture.

The duties of the role include Loading and Unloading Lorries, slinging loads, banking cranes, operating plant and ensuring equipment is loaded/moved into designated storage areas. You will also learn blasting, stripe coating and airless paint spraying of new build drilling equipment or the R&M of existing plant.

Who we're looking for:

Fugro is looking for a Yard and Paint Operative that has experience working in a busy yard, has an in-depth understanding of plant operation and an interest/previous experience in Industrial Painting and Blasting. You are also expected:

• To have excellent communication skills.

• To have a keen willingness and drive to learn and develop into this role.

• To have a minimum GCSE's in English, Maths and Science.

• To have a positive can-do attitude to work in a busy environment.

• Full UK Driving licence.

• Forklift truck/Telehandler operations experience.

• A CSCS Card holder, First Aider, Slinger/signaller experience is desirable.
