We are dedicatedto providing consistent results to clients by limiting file count to ensure each case is timely accurate and thoroughly handled from start to finish. This model is designed for lowvolume cases allowing our experienced attorneys to achieve the best results for our clients.

This is a fulltime hybrid/remote role for an Associate Attorney. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling workers compensation defense cases throughout Southern California. We have a competitive compensation package and offer full benefits. The firm also has the most employeefriendly bonus structure in the industry.

Responsibilities Include:

• Handle a caseload of workers compensation defense cases for various clients.
  
• Conduct legal research to build effective defense strategies.
• Manage and organize case files ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and uptodate.
• Provide legal representation for employers insurance carriers and thirdparty administrators in workers compensation hearings and trials.
  
• Communicate with clients to understand their goals and expectations.
• Analyze claims to determine the merits of a defense and provide legal advice to clients.
  
• Assess the potential exposure and liability associated with each case.
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings motions and settlement agreements.
• Ensure all documentation complies with relevant laws and regulations.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties or their legal representatives.
  
• Advise clients on the costeffectiveness of settlement versus continued litigation.
• Represent clients in workers compensation hearings trials and appeals.
• Present evidence and arguments clearly and persuasively.
• Stay informed about changes in workers compensation laws and regulations.
• Advise clients on compliance issues and potential impact on their businesses.
• Educate clients on workers compensation laws and best practices to minimize future claims.
• Participate in mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes to resolve cases efficiently.
• Collaborate with other attorneys legal assistants and support staff within the firm.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to case strategy discussions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and results.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of California Workers Compensation law
• 2 years experience in workers compensation defense litigation
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• In good standing with the California State Bar
