**Traveler must meet all minimum requirements below to be consider. **Do not submit traveler who have or will have expiring licenses and/or certifications during time frame of entire assignment. Traveler will automatically be declined. **Only submit traveler who can work schedule in posting and interested in the unit. We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:Be part of a dynamic critical care collaborative team providing care to many types of Medical/Surgical critical care patients and Burn patientsBe an active member of the multidisciplinary team and collaborate in the development execution and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care.Be part of a newly built Critical Care Unit.Be part of our ACSVerified Burn Center as well as Level One Trauma Center.Minimum Requirements: Facility Requirement: Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in travelers profile: resume Medefis portal and all onboarding documentation must have permanent address listed). Experience:ICU experience required.No burn experience necessary. Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years. Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital. Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks). Licensure and Certification: Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state. BLS ACLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY Reference Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years). Telemetry Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions). UW Health Recruitment will send instructions to traveler 23 weeks prior to start date. Floating Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the travelers competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler s assignment if the primary unit no longer has a need shifts will be reassigned to another unit in order to complete contract. Location: University Hospital 600 Highland Ave Madison WI 53792 Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation. University Hospital in Madison is a Magnet designated facility that s ranked Wisconsin s #1 hospital and considered one of the nations leading hospitals teaching institutions and referral centers.

Shift: 36 hrs/week Evening/Night 12 hr shiftsevery other weekend rotation some holidays.
