WI - RN - CVICU Cardiothoracic Surgery - Night

Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin!We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:Join the Cardiothoracic Surgery and Transplant team to provide high quality care to patients on this acuity adaptable unit. Ensure care is delivered with a mixture of technological expertise and a positive commitment to meeting patient and family needs. Be an integral part of a team that provides care for patients requiring specialized care for cardiac and thoracic surgeries and procedures heart and/or lung transplants and various medical devices.Minimum Requirements: Facility Requirement: Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in travelers profile: resume Medefis portal and all onboarding documentation must have permanent address listed). Experience: CVICU experience requiredExperience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine requiredExperience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferredTraveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years. Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital within the last year. Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks). Licensure and Certification: Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state. BLS & ACLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY Reference Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only). Telemetry Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions). UW Health Recruitment will send instructions to traveler 23 weeks prior to start date. Floating Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the travelers competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units depending on the current staffing needs. During the traveler s assignment if the primary unit no longer has a need shifts will be reassigned to another unit in order to complete contract. Shift: 36 hrs/week Night 12 hr shiftsevery other weekend rotation and some holidays.
