**Traveler must meet all minimum requirements below to be consider.**Do not submit traveler who have or will have expiring licenses and/or certifications during time frame of entire assignment. Traveler will automatically be declined. **Only submit traveler who can work schedule in posting and interested in the unit.We are seeking Endoscopy Technician Inpatient to:Assist physicians or other providers with procedures performed in the gastroenterology and pulmonary endoscopy setting.Prepare and position patients for procedures assisting providers during endoscopy including biopsy specimen collection polypectomy and ball on dilation.Restocking of procedure room supplies and monitoring of supply PAR levels.Troubleshooting of all specialty equipment. Adherence to strict infection control practices and use of personal protective equipment.Minimum Requirements: Facility Requirement: Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in travelers profile including resume Medefis portal onboarding documents). Experience: Advanced Endoscopy experience including ERCP EUS EBUS and Celiac Plexus Block. Pulmonary procedures including Bronchoscopy Thoracentesis chest tubes and pleurx drains required.510 years of experience assisting in GI or pulmonary medical procedures; basic cardiac monitoring experience Prior traveling experience preferred. Licensure and Certification: BLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.Preferred: Formal training or experience in medical specialty (i.e. LPN MA Advanced Nursing Assistant (CNA))Completion of the SGNA Associates Program Reference Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years). Floating Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the travelers competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler s assignment if the primary unit no longer has a need shifts will be reassigned to another unit in order to complete contract. Location: University Hospital 600 Highland Ave Madison WI 53792 Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation. University Hospital in Madison is a Magnet designated facility that s ranked Wisconsin s #1 hospital and considered one of the nations leading hospitals teaching institutions and referral centers.

Shift: 40 hrs per week Day/Evening Rotating 8 hour shifts with variable start times between 0630 and 1030 am. Call on weekdays (once per week). **Required to stay late with staffing needs.
