Our direct client is looking for a Web Copywriters in Colorado (remote) (C2C/1099).

Job Title: Web Copywriters

Job Type: Contract (c2c/1099)

Job Location: (Golden CO) Remote

Essential Duties

Collaborate with the Communication Services department to understand the districts goals and objectives to ensure that web content aligns with the intended
messaging.
Ensure consistency in tone messaging and branding across different webpages and sections of the website in accordance with the clients web style guide.
Copyedit and optimize existing web content including text images and multimedia elements for clarity grammar spelling punctuation and adherence to AP style.
Work closely with the web design and development team to optimize content for search engine visibility and user engagement.
Ensure compliance with relevant legal and accessibility standards such as ADA compliance Section 508 guidelines and WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex educational information into clear accessible language for a diverse audience.
Suggest improvements for the websites structure organization and user flow based on stakeholder feedback and industry best practices


Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a copywriter or content writer with a strong portfolio of web copywriting samples.
• Excellent command of the English language including grammar spelling and punctuation following AP Style guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail including editing proofreading and ability to produce highquality work with minimal errors meeting tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of web content best practices and the ability to adapt writing style to suit online platforms.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and the ability to incorporate keywords and optimize content for search engines.
• Understanding of web accessibility guidelines (ADA compliance Section 508 WCAG 2.1 Level AA) and their impact on web content creation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity with educational institutions or experience in the education sector is preferred but not required
